With anima making memories stronger, this is no exception the Echthra on the Loyalty difficulty. Suggested Charms: Charm of Quickness and Charm of Persistence to help with mobility and survivability. This means Kalisthene, Echthra, Alderyn and Myn'ir, Nuuminuuru, Craven Corinth, and Splinterbark Nightmare. To unlock this battle you must first defeat the first 6 memories on the Courage tier of difficulty. Once you beat her on this difficulty with Pelagos, congratulations! You've now earned: Blueprint: Charm of Fortitude and will move on to unlock the next fighter. Every now and then you'll build up enough energy for Unleash which you should save for when the Crawlers become overwhelming. Try not to be in her line of sight without the invulnerability buff. Rinse, and repeat.Īs you get this movement down it's all a matter of execution and knowing when you run or when to stay behind a pillar. Once your Confront Memories is ready, choose the same option as last time, step into LoS and cast the full Test of Faith and move to the next pillar. The Aspirant's Bindings has an 80 yd cast range, so don't worry about needing to be close to Echthra but the area you drop it in must be in your LoS. Once you rotate to the next pillar, cast your Aspirant's Bindings on Echthra then strafe behind the pillar to break the LoS again. Only use Herald's Footpads as a last ditch effort to get away as the CD is very long. With the Charm of Quickness used, your movement speed should be good to get you from pillar to pillar. My suggestion is to not rely on these as your main escape. Once that finishes run to the next pillar.ĭon't Panic Note: You may use the Herald's Footpads if they're not on CD but it's ideal to save this option for when you really need to get away quick and you're in a compromising position (ex: surounded by poison pools and Echthra or a bunch of crawlers are right next to you). It is a channel and won't do full damage if you move. As the buff makes you invulnerable for 5 seconds, this will buy you enough time to step into line of sight and cast your full Test of Faith. As you kite to the next pillar use your Confront Memories and choose the Armored Recollection buff. As mentioned before the best way to avoid this is by breaking her Line of Sight. While Echthra's ranged attacks are a lot weaker than her melee, the hits adds up. This buff will be your primary protection from Echthra throughout the fight. Once cast run into the memory that spawns on the right (surrounded by a shield) which will give you the Armored Recollection buff. This will buy you enough energy to cast Confront Memories. To begin, stand next to a pillar and cast your Aspirant's Bindings on Echthra. This will also corral the Crawlers a bit better, allowing you to take them out when you gain the energy for your Unleash. An ideal tactic is to kite around the 4 statues in the coliseum to break her line of sight, preventing her from shooting you. However, primarily focus damage on Echthra. As you use your AoE abilities, try to take out the crawlers if you can. These do damage to you as you run over them. Echthra will also cast a ground AoE that spawns a poison pool. If that explosion hits you, you gain a stacking poison debuff for each crawler that hits you. ![]() ![]() ![]() These adds will melee attack you and will also charge to a point and exploding. Every so often Echthra will cast an ability that releases 3 Crawlers. The core strategy to beating Echthra is remaining out of melee range and dodging her Crawlers. You'll also want to use the Herald's Footpads that you should have already acquired from the previous fights. Otherwise, you cannot apply it until the next fight. Important note: when you first enter the coliseum, use this item BEFORE selecting your soulbind. These charms are single use and should be crafted for this fight as the additional movement speed will help dramatically. Your first encounter with her will be with Pelagos on the lowest difficulty: Courage.īy this point you should be able to craft Charm of Quickness which requires 4 x Elysian Feathers and 2 x Champion's Pelt. ![]() If you've just unlocked the Path of Ascension trials you'll first want to progress through the beginning by acquiring Kalisthene, beating her, acquiring Alderyn and Myn'ir, beating them, then lastly acquiring Echthra, Dame of Hatred. This will be a direct walkthrough on preparation and strategies for defeating Echthra on various difficulties and will be updated as more content is released/beaten.
